The new, state-of-the-art passenger station at Limassol Port is ready to start welcoming passengers. After the completion of the passenger room in September last year and after additional work the new management company “DP WORDL”, the delivery of the station was postponed to July.
The new building of the station composes in an organic, linear arrangement of seven elliptical shells along the eastern mole. Shells 01, 02 and 03 will house arrival, customs, and immigration and policing sections. While, the shell 04 on the ground floor will serve as a luggage collection for cruise ships and a first-floor restaurant will be housed.A sky bar is designed on the roof of the restaurant, from which the visitor will have a panoramic view of the city of Limassol, the harbour and the Mediterranean sea.
Shell 05 will house the reception hall of departure halls and will include a café and travel agent and information offices.
Finally, shells 06 and 07 will house departure halls, immigration, control and policing sections as well as cafes and shops. The arrival halls are designed to be able to host exhibitions, conferences and other activities.
