Thousands of locals from all over Cyprus and tourists from around the world alike attended the opening night of the 56th Limassol wine festival on Thursday night. In fact, the record arrival of tourists in Cyprus this summer brought even more visitors to the festival than before, and organisers are expecting over up to 100,000 visitors by the end of the festival, on September the 10th.
Four of the city’s major wineries of the city – Etko, Keo, Loel and Sodap – as well as dozens of other smaller wineries are participating in the Limassol wine festival, while about 60 kiosks will offer Cypriot dishes and other traditional products.
