The sea of Limassol, offers great pleasure to the thousands swimmers every day, cooling down from the heat of the summer, but it also has a very rich marine life that find home in these beautiful seas.
A snapshot of Limassol’s marine life reminds of the magical world that lies in the city’s deeper waters. The photo depicts a Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas) on Governor’s Coast, in the deep blue of the sea enjoying Limassol and summer in its own way.
The Green Turtle reproduces on the beaches of Cyprus and is an endangered species. In fact, Green Turtles are reproduced almost exclusively in Cyprus and Turkey in the Mediterranean.
