For the first time in Limassol, an open-air Christmas party and an afternoon Santas parade will take place for a good cause! Let’s all meet and blend on this festive Sunday evening (17:00) at the illuminated Heroes Square or at the Medieval castle. Participation is free of charge but don’t forget to put on your Santa suit or simply your warmest Christmassy smile!
The Cyprus Cranio Maxillo-facial Center by Dr. Zoe Nicolaou within its Corporate Social Responsibility organizes this Charity Christmas event with the support of the municipality of Limassol and in collaboration with the Limassol Tourism board in order to enhance the festive atmosphere of our city and to support several charities.
More specifically, on Sunday the 22nd of December 2019 at 17:00 sharp, the Santa parade will depart from the Carob Mill Complex (Medieval Castle area) and pass through some of the most historic and picturesque streets of the old town such as St. Andrews street and Anexartisias street. At the same time, the illumination of the Heroes Square will be held by the mayor of Limassol Mr. Nikos Nicolaides with a number of activities going on such as a radio live link, Christmas carol choirs, magician act for kids and more. Once the Santas arrive at the Heroes Square, the first ever open-air Christmas party will take place with Dj Chris Skender on the decks. The party will begin around 18:15 and finish no later than 22:30.
It is important to mention, that all net income from the available beverages, snacks and sweets will be given to several charities including scholarships to university students who come from low income families and wish to study medicine, dentistry, maxillofacial surgery and more.
**Note that participation to the Santas parade is free of charge and does not necessarily require a Santa’s suit. Participants should simply gather at the Carob Mill Complex around 16:30 or if they only wish to attend the illumination or/and the party at the square they should go directly there.
In addition, the participation at the party is also for free.
