The small chapel of St. Alexander has been built recently, just outside the village of Kornos between the sparse pine and cypress trees.
The small chapel was built after the suggestion of Father Christopher Oikonomou, with various aids, contribution and loans that he undertook to organise and collect.
It was built for the sake of the missing soldiers of the Turkish Invasion of 1974, and the name of the chapel was dedicated to Saint Alexander, the same name of the missing son of Father Oikonomou. When you visit the chapel the photos of our missing bandits.
Unfortunately Father Oikonomou died in February of 2004, but his great work is left behind him.
