One of the biggest advantages of living on such a beautiful mediterranean island is the plentiful sunshine throughout the year, and the long summer of course! In fact, Cyprus receives only 40 days of rainfall each year on average, with sunny days and fine temperatures almost every day.
Summer in Cyprus stretches from mid-May to mid-October and means high temperatures, cloudless skies and cooling breezes from the sea. It’s the ideal season for swimming, sunbathing and a whole range of water sports from sailing to scuba diving. It’s always a good idea to bring along sun protection, such as sunscreen and a broad-brimmed hat. In Cyprus, some tourists and locals alike can even enjoy swimming as late as November, when the average temperature is 25 degrees!
So, September may be here but fall definitely isn’t, at least not in Cyprus!
