These are the Video Games that chose Cyprus as one part of their set.
We all know Cyprus with it’s nice beaches and “all around summer” even though all hell broke loose the past couple of days. A few major video game companies chose Cyprus as a part of their set. Starting of with one of the biggest Video Game Series
Metal Gear Solid V – The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is an open world action-adventure stealth video game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami. For Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It was released worldwide on September 1, 2015.
The first chapter is set in Cyprus, Dhekeleia area to be exact. It’s set in 1984 where “Big Boss”awakens from a coma in a Cyprian hospital. Quiet, a Cipher assassin, tries to kill him, but Big Boss is rescued by a heavily bandaged man called Ishmael. The pair escape the hospital while evading pursuit from Cipher’s soldiers and two superhumans.
Moving on to the second game
Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines
Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines is an action-adventure video game for the PlayStation Portable, part of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, taking place in between the events of Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed II.
Beginning shortly after the end of the first game, Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad learns of a plan of the remaining Templars to escape to Cyprus, and so infiltrates one of their strongholds in Acre to stop them from doing so. Although he does not succeed in this regard, he does defeat and capture Maria Thorpe, who attempted to avenge her former master, Robert de Sablé, who died at Altaïr’s hands. Managing to charter a ship, Altaïr also heads to Cyprus in pursuit of the apple, with Maria in tow.

David Wolf: Secret Agent
David Wolf: Secret Agent is a computer game (interactive movie) developed by Dynamix, Inc. in 1989 for the PC (DOS).
The protagonist is David Wolf, a secret agent serving an intelligence agency named Peregrine. A criminal organization called Viper has stolen a SF-2a “Shadowcat” stealth fighter and kidnapped its chief designer, Dr. Kelly O’Neill, intending to deliver a nuclear bomb to Washington, D.C.The first lead is a Monte Carlo casino where O’Neill was spotted with Garth Stock, a pilot who recently defected to Viper. During a failed attempt to rescue O’Neill, David Wolf learns that the Stealth is to be launched from Drax Island, west of Cyprus, and after a long car chase, he escapes by a means of a submarine. On his way to Drax, David Wolf is set up by Stock who rigged his plane, but Wolf escapes by stealing his parachute and lands on a truck driving to the Viper airport base.

WRC 4: The Official Game of the FIA World Rally Championship (or WRC 4 for short) is a racing video game developed by Evolution Studios for the PlayStation 2. It is the fourth rallying game to be officially licensed by the FIA World Rally Championship and is based on the 2004 WRC season.
WRC: FIA World Rally Championship Arcade features 7 World Rally Championship manufacturer cars along with 14 track locations from the 2002 World Rally Championship season.
and lastly we have
WRC: Rally Evolved (also known as World Rally Championship 5: Rally Evolved or simply WRC 5) is a WRC video game for the PlayStation 2 and was released only in Europe on October 28, 2005. It was developed by Evolution Studios as the entire series had been until the release of the 2010 version, and as usual featured licensed cars and authentic courses from the 2005 WRC season, based on satellite imagery of the landscapes.
